Main Research

Architecture, Design and Implementation of Application-Specific Processors. Multi-Processor-System-on-Chips (MPSoCs). Multi-Threaded Architectures. Ultra-Low-Power Design and Processor Architecture. Computer Architecture, Digital Design and VLSI Design. Digital Signal Processing for Mobile Communications and Multimedia. Reconfigurable Computing and Compilation. Interaction between Architecture, Compiler and Operating System.

Main Industry Partner

Within the scope of Intel's educational initiative, Intel sponsors the main study of "Advanced VLSI-Design" (Very large scale integrated circuit), which deals with the development of high complexity processors. The chair tightly cooperates with "Intel Lab Braunschweig", Intel's largest laboratory for chip development in Europe, and with the department of "High Performance Computing" (HPC) of Intel GmbH in Braunschweig.
