Dr. Silvana Greco Polito is a post-doc researcher. She received Master and Doctoral degree in Electronic and Telecommunication Engeneering from the University of Palermo (Italy) on 2003 and 2007, respectively. During her doctoral studies she spent more than one year at the ReatTime Lab of the Computer Science Department of the Columbia University (USA, NY) working with Prof. Henning Schulzrinne. After her doctoral graduation she has worked as post-doctoral researcher and lecturer at the Electrical, Electronic and Telecommunication Department of the University of Palermo (Italy) and at the Technische Universitat Carolo-Wilhelmina in Braunschweig (Germany). Her research interests include security architectures, models and protocols for optical and carrier-grade networks, security architectures, models and protocols for provisioning of IP application services with focus on Voice over IP and Video on Demand technologies, management and security issues in distributed computing services, security issues for vehicular embedded systems.
