Xiaomin Chen received her M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Telecommunication and Information System from Tongji University, Shanghai, China. Since June 2008, she has been a PhD candidate in the Communication Networks and Systems (CNS) group, at the TU Braunschweig, Institute of Computer and Network Engineering.

Her current research interests include:

  • Network optimization
  • New technoligies for optical grid computing
  • Carrier-grade Ethernet
  • QoS multipath routing

- Focus on the multi-domain issues of service provisioning in carrier-grade Ethernet networks

 " QoS Multipath Routing for high-end Applications"

 -Finding feasible and economic solutions  for the emerging high-end applications with extremely high bandwidth requirements by network optimization and new routing algorithms development.

 “Optical Label Switching Network based on MPLS Utilizing OCDMA”

- Open Research Topic of Key Lab for Broad-band Optic Fiber Transmission and Communication Network of Beijing University, China

- Stimulating and analyzing the performance of an optical network based on the MPLS utilizing OCDMA. Try to find a potential solution for smooth transferring to NGN (Next Generation Network).
