Xiaomin Chen received her M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Telecommunication and Information System from Tongji University, Shanghai, China. Since June 2008, she is a PhD candidate in the Communication Networks and Systems (CNS) group, at the TU Braunschweig, Institute of Computer and Network Engineering.

Her current research interests include:

  • Network optimization
  • Parallelization
  • Inter-domain path computation
  • high speed Ethernet and optical technologies
  • Optical + any  IT  service provisioning 

RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

  • GEYSERS[EXTERNAL]  [EXTERNAL]  Generalized Architecture for Dynamic Infrastructure Services (EU IP Project)

          -Focus on the coordination of multi-domain optical networks and IT resources in support of distributed high-performance applications

          -Focus on the multi-domain multi-path routing for the next generation networks

  • 100 Gb/s Carrier-grade Ethernet (awarded by BMBF)

          -Focus on the multi-domain issues of service provisioning in Provider Backbone Bridging Traffic Engineering in (PBB-TE) networks
