Braunschweig is located about 60 km from the Hannover airport and approximately 250 km west from Berlin in the center of Northern Germany.

Arriving from the Hannover Airport (HAJ) - the closest airport (~60 km). The easiest way is to take the airport train to the Hannover Main Station (Hauptbahnhof) and then transfer to Braunschweig (total duration about 20+35 minutes). There is a train every 30 minutes from Hannover Hauptbahnhof to Braunschweig. The total fair is about 18 Euro. Alternatively various companies offer a door-to-door shuttle service from HAJ to Braunschweig, for a range of fairs as low as 28 Euro (total duration around 40 minutes). The shuttle service has to be reserved in advance.

Arriving from Frankfurt and Munich (international). Lufthansa has non-stop flights to Frankfurt and Munich from most of the US and Asian cities. Once you are at the Frankfurt airport, you can take the airport train to the Frankfurt Main Station (Hauptbahnhof), and from there a non-stop train connection to Braunschweig (duration about 2.5 hours). Alternatively, it is possible to fly to take a connecting flight to Hannover (HAJ).
