Less than Worst-Case Analysis - Stochastic Analysis


In many practical cases, embedded system applications accept occasional deadline violations as long as their number can be bounded. Stochastic analysis computes the response time distribution of each task in the system, thus making it possible to determine the deadline miss probability of individual tasks.
