For the design of embedded systems, current tools are mostly specialised to certain aspects or design phases of the development process, without being part of an integrated framework that is indispensable for the development of today’s and future embedded systems. Therefore, the SuReal project aims at creating an integrated design process, to reach a consistent and comprehensive model of the system under development. As part of the project, the tools used in the different design phases should be coupled to form a tool chain, covering the different phases of the design process.

SuReal was successfully finished in 2009.
To be able to estimate the timing behavior of the complete system in the early design phases, the tool SymTA/S will be used. To increase its applicability especially to the automotive domain, the tool will be extended with new analysis techniques. In coorperation with our spin-off Symtavision, IDA will focus on the following topics
