As part of the LOTUS project, I am working on the seamless and lossless transmission of large data objects for vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication. The transmission of large data objects, such as camera images or LIDAR frames, is an essential concept for enabling higher levels of automation in the areas of autonomous driving and mobile robotics. The provision of a seamless connection between the vehicle and access points is essential for loss-free and reliable data transmission. The focus here is particularly on cell-free networking with centralized resource management, which removes the lossy and delay-prone handover process of cellular networks from the critical path of data transmission by means of proactive connection establishment.
