My research focuses on enhancing the safety and reliability of autonomous systems, particularly when operating in dynamic and complex environments like autonomous driving. The core challenge I address is how these systems can make trustworthy decisions when faced with potentially conflicting information from multiple collaborative sources. To tackle this, I am developing an approach where systems evaluate the trustworthiness of information based on inherent quality attributes (e.g., perception capabilities) and leverage concepts from social epistemology for belief aggregation and propagation. This involves using formal models like Binary Decision Diagrams (BDDs) to enable efficient and reliable automated decision-making in collaborative autonomous systems.
