My research focuses on the development of new communication and information processing technologies for automated vehicles. In view of the increasing complexity and demands on data processing by machine learning algorithms and high-resolution sensor systems, I am investigating how efficient and cost-effective data transmission can be achieved in modern automotive architectures.
One focus of my work is on optimising data communication through the integration of advanced middleware solutions, such as an extension of the Data Distribution Service (DDS) with subscriber-centric caching mechanisms. This enables a significant reduction in data traffic and cabling structure without compromising data quality or reliability.
In addition, I have participated in various projects addressing topics such as efficient time isolation in mixed criticality systems and the synchronisation of communication requirements in automated vehicles.
I am assisting my colleague Jonas Peeck in the Lab in Computer-Aided Design of Digital Circuits.
